Calling all U2 Fans!
Margo, maybe you can answer this one for me.
At the beginning of the song Vertigo, Bono says, "Unos, dos, tres, quatorze", which translates to "some, two, three, fourteen." Did he do that on purpose, or is he just really bad at spanish?

There are 2 schools of thought on this one. One answer is that the error is a saying that this is thier 14th album...Hello Hello! No...let's review:
Boy
War
October
Under A Blood Red Sky
Unforgettable Fire
Rattle and Hum
Achtung Baby
Zooropa
Pop
All That You Can't Leave Behind
How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb
I'm no math expert but I only count 11 albums here. Unless they are counting Best ofs...which would bring the grand total up to 13...and Passengers Vol 1 which was is not considered a U2 album. Best of's contain no new studio material, so they can't be considered really.
No. Not the 14th album. The explaination I go with, because I heard Bono say it in an interview is this: Bono's spanish isn't real good. Quatorze (or whatever, my spanish ain't real gud either)just sounded cool.
There you go...any other questions from the U2 Guru?

I've often wondered (or rather bitched) about this myself. Never thought to ask Margo. But who else would know?
