Whew

Somehow, after 6 years of never going out, never doing anything and not having many friends in California, I have developed a social life. I don't know how it happened. I have gone out every night since Thursday last week. I am very tired and ready for a night home alone with my new DVR, but also really happy that I have stuff to do that isn't related to work or class.

Can't believe that our anniversary is on Sunday...

The Rest of the Story

I ate so much barbeque that I may be part pork shoulder by now.

I walked with my feet ten feet of of Beale.

Beale looks like New Orleans. It was disappointing.

I got back to my country roots and got a cowboy hat.

I taught some really random people how to line dance.

I was asked to be a bridesmaid at some random couple's wedding just for being present during the engagement.

Nashville bars open at 10 AM and start in with the live music right away.

I never knew the true meaning of swampass until now.

I can't wait to go back!!!

For Some Reason There is a Full Size Parthenon in Nashville

This is it. There is a big Athena inside, but my camera ran out of batteries at this very moment.

R.I.P. Elvis Aaron Presley

He really is dead. And, despite being very cool, his house isn't that big.

How Do I Live Without You?

And then we saw Leanne Rimes. That girl can wail.

Right up front for this one too. Silly that I have to leave Los Angeles to see some good famous people up close.

So Much to Say...

This is going to be a long one :)

I went to Nashville for work. It was the best work trip ever. Partly due to the fact that the artist formerly known as OC and now known as TN was there. Tootsies Orchid Lounge is the COOLEST bar on the planet. We attended Kid Rock and Pam Anderson's wedding reception by accident there. Here is Kid playing during the festivities:

I was right up front. It was nuts. I almost died by smothering, but it was worth it.
