Baby, It's Cold Outside

I am supposed to be in Pierre, SD right now. I flew all the way to Denver yesterday, only to turn around five hours later and fly back to L.A. because of the horrid weather. Complete waste of my time, but hey, I don't really want to be there right now anyway!

Viva Los Angeles. It may suck in many ways, but the coldest it has been in my 5.5 years of living here is like 45 degrees. It is currently 61 degrees. I'm actually a little chilly :)

No Way!

According to a shopping survey performed by the American Farm Bureau Federation, a traditional Thanksgiving meal for 10 people — including turkey, stuffing, cranberries and pumpkin pie — will average $36.78 across the nation.

Then why did it cost me $70?

Women are Evil

A woman and a man are involved in a car accident on a snowy, cold Monday
morning; it's a bad one. Both of their cars are totally demolished but
amazingly neither of them is hurt. God works in mysterious ways.
After they crawl out of their cars, the woman says, "So .... you're a
man.

That's interesting. I'm a woman. Wow, just look at our cars! There's
nothing left, but we're unhurt. This must be a sign from God that we should meet
and be friends and live together in peace for the rest of our days".
Flattered, the man replies, "Oh yes, I agree with you completely, this
must be a sign from God!"

The woman continues, "And look at this, here's another miracle. My car
is completely demolished but this bottle of wine didn't break. Surely God
wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune. "Then she hands
the bottle to the man.

The man nods his head in agreement, opens it and drinks half the bottle
andthen hands it back to the woman. The woman takes the bottle and
immediatelyputs the cap back on, and hands it back to the man.
The man asks, "Aren't you having any?" The woman replies, "No. I think
I'll just wait for the police...."

MORAL OF THE STORY:
Women are evil.
Don't mess with them.

More Ramblings

Funny...But Not

Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500 employees and has the following statistics:

29 have been accused of spousal abuse
7 have been arrested for fraud
19 have been accused of writing bad checks
117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
3 have done time for assault
71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
8 have been arrested for shoplifting
21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

Can you guess which organization this is? Give up yet?

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group of idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

Ramblings

1) The movie trailers for Chicken Little freak me out because chickens aren't supposed to have teeth.

2) Welcome back Miss Margo!

3) I leave spam comments up because it feels good to have comments.

4) I get to go to North AND South Dakota this winter...yippeee!

5) Instead of pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving, I will be making pumpkin creme brulee. I am very excited about this prospect. I still haven't decided if I will attempt butternut squash soup.

6) I love having my cute cousins-in-law and their parents living in San Diego...it is so nice to be able to drive down and visit family for the first time in seven years. And cute little Hannah won all kinds of awards at her horse show. She is the best little hunter-jumper ever!

7) I really should be working right now :)

So, What Did You Learn in School Today?

This looks like something my brother would have done.

Princess of Power

See Ryan? It's She-ra!

Now I am having flashbacks to childhood. And I think that He-man might be gay.
