Getting Old

I just turned 27 years old. I am a married, professional woman. My best friend is having a baby. I decided that it was time to face the fact that I am getting older. It was time to take the plunge, so I did it.

I took out my belly button ring.

I have had it for 9 years. The hole will probably never heal completely. My stomach looks wierd without it. I didn't think that I even noticed it anymore, but now that it isn't there, I kind of miss it. I will not put it back in though. I refuse to be one of those people who hold on to youth by doing things that are WAY too young for them.

Next thing you know I will drive a mini-van and wear elastic waisted pants. I do have to draw one line though...I am not cutting my hair.

So while I was watching Scrubs last night where one couple has a new baby and two other couples are expecting, my brother called to let me know that come September I am going to be an aunt!

Hooray and all...but DAMN DAWGS! It seems to be catching...
